What is the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)?

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the stage of development which occurs between the ages of 0-5 Years. Nurseries, pre-schools, registered childminders and reception classes must follow the legal document which is called the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.

What is a two year check?

A two year check is completed between a Childs second and third birthday. This is always done by a health visitor and by your child’s nursery setting. At Skylarks we will always involve parent/carer input for this to be completed and it is important that each child’s individual circumstances, attendance pattern and individual needs.
